The Healing Center, LLC was conceived by Dr. David Greenfield to offer a unique range of traditional and progressive healing and therapeutic services within a compassionate and growth-facilitating environment. The Healing Center is unique in its effort to integrate the best of traditional psychotherapeutic, psychological and psychiatric techniques with new and effective techniques to heal behavioral and emotional problems. It is a place where individuals can receive unique and cutting-edge therapeutic services with a particular focus on emotional and psychological promlems and issues.
To help you in your counseling and psychotherapy experience we integrate a variety techniques and procedures including , Psychotherapy, Counseling, Group Psychotherapy. Imago Relationship therapy, and EMDR. Other adjunctive procedures are useful and may include Meditation, Mindfulness, or other specialized procedures. We utilize the techniques and approaches that make the most sense in helping you achieve your goals in the most efficient manner possible. Whether you are looking to create more intimacy or satisfaction in your marriage or relationship, fighting an addiction, or trying to manage depression or anxiety we can help. We have specialized skills in treating a variety of addictions, including: sex, gambling, food, shopping, drugs, and alcohol.

Our philosophy: we view emotional and behavioral problems, as well as some physical symptoms, as information that we can utilize in our growth and healing process. The idea is to understand what our unconscious patterns/behaviors are telling us and how to connect the past to the present to guide us to be the person we are meant to be. These are not simply "talk techniques", but dynamic, psycho-physical approaches that yield effective results.
We will of course utilize traditional counseling and psychotherapeutic techniques in diagnosing a variety of mental, emotional and psychological/psychiatric problems and disorders. However, we do this with an informed and humanistic perspective in treating the whole person. There is no judgment of you or your situation. We will not rush you our in 5 minutes without listening to what is bothering you. We assume there a reason that you are where you are in your life and that by understanding this, we can unlock keys to your healing and growth. We strive to avoid repeating the shame that many of us carry. This is accomplished by facilitating your growth in a compassionate and informal environment.
The Healing Center is directed by Dr. David Greenfield a licensed psychologist and licensed marriage and family therapist in CT and NY with over 24 years of experience. He holds a specialty certification in Addictions from the American Psychological Association, College of Professional Psychology. Dr. Greenfield is a past president of the Connecticut Psychological Association. He is a published author of numerous professional articles, book chapters, and a book entitled: "Virtual Addiction", and lectures national and internationally on topics of addiction, sex, and Internet addiction. Dr. greenfield is frequently interviewed my the press and media on the topic of Internet and Technology addiction and its' impact on modern living.

Announcing a NEW TELEPHONE Consultation Service at the Center for Internet and Technology Addiction: The Center for Internet and Technology Addiction (a division of the Healing Center, LLC) is proud to announce our telephone consultation and counseling service. We have launched this program in response to your requests for help with your questions, concerns, and requests for information and guidance in dealing with computer and online addiction and other Internet, and technology problems. Consultations are arranged by email or telephone on an appointment basis. Consultations are typically 45 minutes in length but we can book as little as 30 minutes.
